hey all..i have a 89' 2.9L , a/t, edie bauer, BII i just got from a friend and it has an issue with the passenger side electric window.i can roll it up/down from the driver side..but can't from the passenger side unless the door is open.. if i pull on the wire and close the door as far as i can, it will go up/down. i can see the wire runs inside the fender well,do i need to take off the fender and make sure it is hooked up/connected right?
And it's nice to be back, missed having a BII for so long!!
No, the connector is in front of the battery, where acid can leak on it of course ;-)
Disconnect there and remove all the way to the door to repair the broken wire, just about impossible to do with the harness in the vehicle. You will have to remove the air cleaner, battery, etc. to do the job.
