Jesus Christ. I wish i lived there. We'd be filthy rich, and sick of plowing snow.

Thats not very smart, if you are guaranteed at least a sufficient amount of snow, price it per snow, we do 2-6 one rate, 6-12 another, and 12+ is time and material, which leaves it open... Even here in MD we do that, and sometimes get screwed over. Doing it hourly like we do, we can compensate for fuel, just tack on a few hours.

I think things will change this year..trouble is around here..you do more drives then parking lots..we may have 20 to 30 parking lots around here...not much for a bunch of guy's plowing...there is nothing up here but woods and mountain tops...makes living wealthy hard to do..need to go 50 miles south before things get competitive and the jobs are easy to come by.....

Thanks Ron. Certainly no hurry. Stay dry. Here it's 86°, sunny and the humidity is about 15%. Just rubbing it in.

I crawled under my truck just to confirm what I thought the standard shift tcases are. They are a NP-271 F. Least thats whats in my 02. I really havent heard of all that many problems with the ESOF tcases. I think they are pretty good units aswell. Our early 99, 01, and other 02 all have it. They all have between 170k-230k and we use 4wd quite a bit. If it was me, Id just unplug the vacuum hoses, and let the OEM hubs in there. Least untill they start to seize up. Eventually they start to become really hard to turn. Happend on our 01 and early 99. You could get the warn hubs if you really wanted to, I just wouldnt spend the money until the oems failed.

We don't do but two or three residentials other than family. Main jobs are big commerical places and a huge nursing home community

Thanks Mike. I appreciate the model number and advice. Especially the advice. With only 96k I am probably overly concerned as usual.

I dont know this for a fact, but it sticks in my head that the OBS diesels also uses the NV 271. Ill try to check our early 99 at work today.

*On edit. Our early 99 has ESOF
