Pulse HPOP?

Has anyone recieved their Pulse HPOP yet? If so how do you like it? Haven't heard a word since the initial blast off. Barney

I'm still waiting for mine.......

I think I talked to Bob at Dieselsite ( a real awesome, stand-up guy BTW ) and he said it's gonna be awhile since things aren't quite the way he wants them for his customer. He's much like me (a bit of a pefectionist) and if it ain't he way he wants it, it's back to the drawing board.

I have a theory that Bob is having folks sign a non disclosure agreement upon recieving the pump. Its been out since late March, and on three different forums I can only find 1 post about its performance, and it is a short post.
I still have my core HPOP sitting in the shop, but am now much more interested in Terminators modified 17* pump. (lots cheaper, and still better than stock)

I hope there's not any "non-disclosure" agreement. I was thinking about one of these, and while it's somewhat of a longshot for me, if I can't get feedback from people actually using it, then there's a ZERO percent chance of me buying that product.

They were supposed to be shipping by now, so I'd imagine people that got them put them in ASAP - I know I would, for that amount of money!!

Why can't there ever be a COOL theory?

No "non-disclosure" agreements here. LOL

Just a pump that isn't what I designed. It's works, but it isn't as awesome as the prototypes. When it's right, I'll send it out.

Unfortunately, going from making a few prototypes to manufacturing hundreds of pumps required changes in several processes that don't meet my expectations. (No one mentioned that to me while we were creating this thing thing for over 2 years - surprise...)

Having several companies manufacture different parts of the pump (there are over 30 new parts being made) has proved a nightmare for mass production. Everyone wants to cut corners to make it economical to produce hundreds at a time. The first installs of the "manufactured" pumps had a part that one company had the bright idea to save themselves some cash on the deal by replacing my spec'd out material for something else. Troubleshoot that...

Luckily I blew up so many over the first year into the project I remembered the insides looking alot like one of my first prototypes that used the wrong materials!!!!

Being the perfectionist that I am - I am rejecting alot of the parts and making companies start all over again with new tooling. Not fun, not fast, but not my product any other way. Sorry that the pump didn't make it out for the summer - but luckily there are other options for those that have to have something immediately.

Anyway, I'd love to make my first dollar off this PULSE, but I have yet to charge anyone. There were several people who have tried it and a couple that still have them (who don't care if it fails)... but no paying customers. I just couldn't do that to the people that waited so long for the pump that I engineered. I can't send something out that I believe has the potential to fail. I tested a pump for 100,000 miles and when I can deliver that exact pump to the masses - it will go out. If that never happens, then I'm out ALOT OF MONEY. (YIKES...)

Thanks for stepping in to our little corner of the world and giving us the info we needed. Right there is one of the reasons I keep visiting your site, drooling, and saving my pennies!! Unless my pump dies on me I'm not sure I'd be replacing it with ANYTHING else, but your product(s), commitment to quality, and openness about what's going on give me great confidence in buying from you. Time will tell, but I'm sure EVERYONE is looking forward to this items debut

Thanks Bob. I agree that Bob and his company are A#1. He stood up for me when I was having tranny problems and made Jasper make it right. When in doubt ask Bob. he will do it right. Barney

That post says it all. Way to go Bob. Won't hesitate to buy from you again. Was never crazy about the warranty on the pump, but it seems your priorities are in order.

Thanks for clearing that up Bob. I was not trying to start the rumor mill, but the theory had come up at two different events. I am glad you are a man of perfection and that just means when the Pulse does come out for the masses it WILL be right. Thanks for keeping high standards, in a world that will accept others cost cutting measures.
