here is a close up. You could polish it I suppose. It would take a while though. Mine looks pretty good even after a year and half.

They look good right out of the box. i did spray some clearcoat on mine (after wiping it down with lacquer thinner) just to help it stay shiny looking. Couldn't tell if there was any kind of factory finish on it and knew i didn't want to try to clean and shine between the fins after any oxidation might have begun.
So far, so good.
Get one. You can't go wrong for the price.
