Dead spot right off the bottom?

After finishing my ball joint job today, I wanted to take the truck for a short spin. I let it warm up for a few minutes while I fed the hay burners, and when I got in to take off it felt kind of gutless (seemed to be running quieter too, which I thought was strange). I didn't feel much going on when driving, but I took off from a stop sign floored and it kind of coughed and was really flat for a few seconds before it spooled up and ran- never had the problem before doing the same thing. Am I on something or is something not right? CPS? Crap fuel?

It's the new ball joints, they are tight. Gotta break them in, give it a few miles...

LOL sorry, just kidding that's NOT the cause. When did you last fill up?

I got to hand it to you Kris- at first I was like "WTF?" Last filled up a week ago, probably have just upward of 45 gallons in the tank right now.

Is your oil full? What kind of shape is your fuel & air filter? You might dump some additive in the tank just to be on the safe side.

Air filter is nearly new, fuel filter looked okay, need to check the oil level. I'll dump some DK in.
