Follow up from dead truck in OCT.

Here is a link to some questions I had.
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...questions.html

So here is long story short. Bought T-500 right before price increase (like 2.5 years ago I think) I did not get it put in to right at a year later. So drove with it from first of last year till middle of Oct. when truck quit. It was cold it was time for a new work truck so in comes the new 2014 and the 7.3 did not run untill today.
I had tried diffrent IPR's on the T500 with no luck so today I finally got around to swapping my old HPOP back in place of the T500. It was a reman that I had to get a few years earlier when I did not know you could service the "non-servicable" port. (I had another HPOP off a spare motor I have for the core when I bought the T500). Anyway after putting the old HPOP in I cycled the key a few times to fill the fuel bowl and the cranked it maybe 4-5 seconds and it fired right up to my surprise. I was thinking it was a long shot cause as we all know it is almost never the HPOP.
I sent Joey an email asking him about and after 2.5 years with no proof of how long I actually had it in service I dont really expect any kind of warranty but I would like him to take a look inside and see if something went out if it doesnt cost to much. Not sure what else it could have been. I used the same IPR that was originally on the T500 when the truck quit. So will be interesting to see what I did.
Thanks to all who gave me advice months ago.

Those pumps have a life time warranty if I recall correctly. From what I've heard joey would be happy to tear into an old pump to see how and where it failed and he will take care of you. That's just rumor not having to personally deal with him

Sounds good but I was thinking there was only a one year warranty for some reason. I have no doubt that he will take a look at it. I realize he is a busy man and since I have the new truck I am really not in any hurry so I will just wait and see what he has to say. I haven't heard back yet but will let you all know how it plays out. I almost want to look inside myself but I know better. I am just curious as to what could have happened. So I am just giving it plenty of time to drain and will get it packed up and ready to ship soon.
