Go to Walmart or Autozone or whatever parts supply place is near to you. Get a 95 and earlier Ford code reader, should be about 30 bucks, has all the instructions for reading trouble codes, and what they mean, that will put you in the right direction for troubleshooting without taking out a 2nd loan on the house. Post back on what codes you get!

If the OD light is flashing the torque converter cluch wont engage. you are in limp mode do not drive your truck in limp mode it will toast your trans very quickly. Dose your tach and speedo work? Do you have an ABS light on?
Did the trans rebuilders ever figure out why the light was on befor they rebuilt the trans?
Was the rebuild suposed to fix the light?

by the way you said there were no codes
the system will always display codes either pass codes or problem codes
if it will not display any codes then the system is not testing
check all fuses there are two that affect the processor and the grounds are very important check the one that is bolted to teh fender nect to the DCL plug
