I think a solid axle swap trumps BFG A/T's, and your TTB !!!
Yes... but I DIDNT buy the bfg's they came on the truck... I am buying 37's to go on, and then we will see how long the ttb lasts, i already know that it sucks, so why not break it and then do the sas...
While sas may trump bfg's and my ttb, it dont trump his body lift...
Lets not start anything over this... ok?
I put the body lift on when i was like 17. No point in removing it, so its staying on. Im considering a entire write up of the entire swap here in the Offroad forum.
well did you atleast upgrade to grade 8 hardware?
Not tryin to be an azz but they can be real dangerous, espically when you start using cheaper hardware... Like whats usually sent with the kits...
also what engine do you got, and what have you done for gears?
never said i was jealous... yellow aint my thing anyway... my truck is nice and shiny sometimes too. when it aint covered in mud... The paint has actually survived quite well over the last 12 years....
The body lift has grade 8 yes. As for engine its a 5.0L HO. Heads ported & polished. B303 cam. Crane 1.7 roller rockers. Complete MSD. Edelbrock intake & carb. I built it about 4 years ago, it still runs good. My plans are either a FE 390 or 393W stroker. It still has 3.55's, but im putting 4.56's in this summer also. The axle is D44 from a 78' F-150.
I got the d44 front complete for $100. I dont plan on running bigger than 38's. If need be I can upgrade axle shafts and u-joints, no biggie. The 5.0 actually has the power. Couple friends of mine have chebbies with tbi 350's and 35" tires. One even has 4.56's. I can out run both of them.

I'm not trying to start anything, just poking fun, relax. I didn't even know that you had BFG's on your truck. That does make this a little funnier though .
yes it does actually... but as i say... the fastest way to bigger tires is to burn off the smaller ones... and well the bfg's dont grip anything at all... so powerslides on dry pavement is becoming easier and easier as each day passes.
