Before and After

Just got the lift installed on the 88'. Leveled it out good like i was hoping...

It was racked out something fierce. Get this...4" lift in ONLY the front and it now sits level.

Next comes some 33x12.5x15 m/t of some sort and the built 400/c6/205.

Either way, not a bad start.

Yeah I definitly have to many projects...this one is not going to be to extreme, just a fun truck with an **** load of power.
A mix between driver/hauler/and something to play with on the trails and such.

I'm with Kris why not sell this one and use the money to build up your yellow truck or put into your beater?

Because i've wanted this bodystyle/shortbed for a long time. Picked this one up for $1000 ZERO rust. And now I have plans for it...such as the tires, nasty 400, and paint it black here this summer.

I did find a low milage 400/c6 from a 72' Lincoln for $250 that could be transplanted in the beater. But thats another matter....

Looks too high in the front to my eye...

I like a bit of rake, then it levels out when you mash the skinny pedal

Front higher looks good to me too.

I hope to get some of my projects going too, but the bad economy and high fuel prices are putting a slow down to non priority projects.

Looks good, and nice find for a 1K and no rust. I was happy when I managed to find my 95 with no rust. ND salts the crap out of the roads, and since its winter time here more than summer, it kills trucks. In town, I saw a 2002 Duramax with rusted out rear fenders that I could fit fingers through. Then again, it is a Chevy...

Keep us posted, and post pics when you go tear it up!

Personally I like a little rake better than a **** sagging look, but doesn't mean I don't like the truck b/c of it...just mine will be level or have a little rake.

Maybe the weight of the 400 will bring it down some?
