Is there a programer for a 2008 V-10? I can't find one. Superchips, Edge, Hypertech or Banks. All they seem to be interested in is diesel. Banks said they didn't have enough demand to continue with the V-10 for p/up trucks.
Thanks for the info... I've sent an e-mail to him.
As far as, "should of bought a diesel", ah, at $4.50 a gal.,$150 oil changes & $7k more on the sticker, I don't think so. Oh ya, and it gets the same mpg!!!
All for a little more power. What a deal!

A lot of guys are going over to the V10 and for good reason, its a great powerplant. Believe it or not V10s have been in Fords lineup for 12 years now, and popularity of it seems to be slightly increasing. I can change the oil and filter in my V10 for $17.50 and a fuel filter every 10k miles costs me a whopping $11.

Strap on a trailer with a good deal of weight on it and watch your fuel gauge go down real quick with that v10. I hear quite a few people that haul roughly the same weight I do and more or less the same amount hauling per year(all us horse showers know each other) and they say that get 7 or 8 miles to the gallon, while I'll lose 1 full mpg off of what I get unloaded(which isn't all that often) and they do roughly get the same amount that I do with the same setup that I have or even a slightly lighter setup then I have when their trucks are unloaded. All the other costs can be minimized depending on how you do it. All this is moot though as this depends quite a bit on each person's individual needs and/or wants.

Well good for you! lol
Considering that i can get a 2v V10 for the price you guys would pay to buy a new set of injectors, ill keep my V10. everybody has seen and heard everything there is to this gas Vs diesel thing, and i agree its a personal preference.
and what weight are you pulling and whats your mpg's? I see 10's pulling goose neck trailers around 10K, mainly city and off road.

The 6.0l isn't put in 08' SDs, hes got an 08'. The 6.4l does not pull the mpgs that the 6.0ls do. Put a tuner, intake and etc. on the 6.4l and you warrenty goes bye bye.

My trailer maxes out at 16k and I have had it maxed out a few times(and maybe a little more, but shhh on that I'm only tagged for 16k). However, when I haul supplies that's just around the 5k marker(the little flatbed is what I use for that). I'm pulling about 12 mpgs with my setup and hauling the 16k. Oh and the 2v v10s I believe got better mileage then the 3v v10s that are out there now(which is along the same lines as my 6.0 gets better then the new 6.4 ones that are out there now).

Superchip Cortex 1950 programmer works on the 08 V-10 (i bought one)
Remember Ford up the power on the new V-10s 362 Hp. (thats more than the diesel) 457 Tq.
The programmer raises those number to...387 Hp, 506 Tq, not bad for a gasser.
