Fuel pump replacement is a very common topic here, do a little searching and you should find lots of info and instructions. From what I understand, there is only one manufacturer for the pump, so it doesn't matter where you get it from, just call around and get the best price. I didn't know that when I did mine, wasted my money at the dealer.
I believe Carter is the pump I got and the only one for our truck. There available at autozone, although I'm in MA, so I'm not sure what's located in Boise. Pump will run you about $90.
Just did mine a week ago. Those instructions Robbgt posted are excellent. Bought mine at NAPA in Meridian for $110. Didn't check around for better price though. It's recommended that you heat and bend a 1 1/4" wrench to get the banjo bolt out but I didn't have a torch readily available so tried it without bending and it worked fine. Might have been a tad easier bent but it really wasn't a problem.

Good point on the wrench, I forgot to mention that. I think it was the same deal on mine, didn't even have to bend the wrench to make it fit on the banjo bolt. Just be sure that you're CAREFUL when you snug that baby up, obviously with a wrench that long there will be alot of leverage available. Just get it good and snug
thanks a bunch for all the replies .......sorry didnt get back right away gotta work daylight till dark to buy fuel ! I have a 97 gasser but still love my diesel...didnt know the pump was so reasonable just need an afternoon now..thanks again
Just checked their online price and was quoted at $105. Disclaimer indicating in-store price may vary though.
God, I wish Napa would make a more user friendly Web site.
