hmmmmmm...now what
truck would not start this morning...looked at the batteries and they were both showing red...had the alternator tested and it was only putting out 12.2 volts.....interesting though it was putting out 94 amps at 2000 rpm.....would this make the truck miss? Maybe this has been the problem all the time...well 300.00 later and I guess I will find out for sure!

You could have an internally shorted battery causing its voltage to drop to around 10.5V or so. Check each separately disconnected. If your alternator is putting out 94 amps at 2000rpm its working overtime.

so does it sound like the alternatot is ok? of course the machine said there were bad diodes....I will have them check the batteries...they are alot cheaper that the alternator
