Back door speakers?

Do the back doors have the same oval speakers as the the front? I figure I would ask first so I dont have to tear the door apart to find out. They arent as easy to get to as the front. Reason being I have a pair of $200 six and a half circle speakers. I may just have to build me a custom box and mount them some were. Anyone have any ideas?

I have 6.5's in my rear doors (SCAB). Assuming that the speaker in other models of the truck are mounted directly to the door...They will fit, I don't remember if I had to trim the metal at all, I don't think I did. Just take a piece of sound deadner, cover the factory hole, the make a new circle big enough for the 6.5 in the deadner. You will need to make new holes to mount it in there.

So the backs arent the ovals like the front are? I was going to try and make em fit in the front but I would have had to cut quite a bit to make it fit.

The rears are ovals as well. But the fronts are mounted to the door panel in essence...whereas the rears are mounted flush to the inner door itself. I wish I had a picture of mine and how I did it to show you..

Ill figure out how o get them in there if theres room. Now I got to figure out how to get them door panels off. On the reg cabs the speaker cover doesnt pop off like the fronts do.

Ok I just went out there to take a gander at it. Takeing those back doors off is the scariest thing I have ever done. Its all tabs not a single screw and you have to pull extremely hard to get them off. I think I know what you are saying what you did black. But did you only put 3 screws back in? Thats the best I could get mine was 3 holes on the metal.

Not sure what a regular cab's back panels are like, but on my scab the back door panels just pop UP and off after removing a few screws, like the front doors, and the speakers were exactly like the front, though I think u can alter the size.

Well I put them into today just drilled some holes and wired it up. It sounds 10x better than the stock ones sounded. Now I need front ones because the back ones make the front sound like crap now.... when will it ever stop?
