Exclamation Ford Excursion Speakers

Hi new member here!

I am looking to put new speaker in my Ex. Supposedly the speakers in the front door are different than the speakers in the back doors (says Crutchfield). So what do you guys run in the front? i would have liked to put all the same coxail speakers all around. Thanks

Any of the 5x7/6x8 speakers should work as far as I know. Someone else will chime in for sure. I haven't yet replaced mine. But they fit every other late model Ford I've owned. That's why they call it the Ford/Mazda mounting system. Welcome to the forums.

I talked to a crutchfield Rep and they said it was the depth of the speaker that wouldent fit in the door.

I can't remember now if I used the 5 x 7 or the 5 x 8, but all three sets where the same. No issues there. I used infinity.

I put 6x9's in the rear, but it required some trimming. I moved them from another car.

How many speakers did you get for $150?

all six of them for $150. it was about a year ago though.

The speakers fit well, but you do have to modify the original speaker wire and adapt it to fit normal aftermarket speakers. Not hard to do at all but I would suggest using a soldering gun to connect the factory wires to the aftermarket wires. That way the connection will not come loose on bumpy roads.

Ok thank you so much for the help. I'm going to buy a head unit and install that first!
