I checked and I do have the Tow Package, but I am not sure what gears.

Where will it tell me?

the door sticker will have the rear axle code listed. go check that out and post it here. or do a quick search on the forum for the axle code chart.

If the owners manual is with the truck still it should be in there as well.

should be a 8.8 with 3.55 so you should be alright towing with that axle. acceration might not be the greatest thou. but its the better of the ranger axles.
