Talking Towed with the 6.0 for the first time.

Yesterday was the first time i towed with the new truck. 04 6.0 reg cab six peed. Im towing a 20ft flatbed with an chevy astro van loaded with sensitive gps equipment. couldnt chance driving it and having it blow up. My rig performed awsome. 70 mph sixth gear cruse on. max egt was 950 and max boost was 25lbs. only once did it fall below cruise speed climbing a hill. and the really cool thing is it never gained any speed coasting down a hill. the only thing i hate was i had to flip the 2" drop hitch upside down to level the the trailer. it looks so dumb, i gotta lift the truck. We are in DC right now waithing for tomarrow to demonstrate it to the millitay. Then i get to haul it home. 250 miles each way all inerstate. A module sure would have made it more fun .

They are awesome trucks. I had about the same results with mine. Heading back to the mountains in a few weeks with my car hauler. Looking forward to the trip. Enjoy it. Glad to see some more positive posts. I enjoy driving mine everyday. I was just telling my wife last night when we were cruising wouldnt trade it for anything except another one like it maybe.
Nothing like a Powerstroke....

mine is before the turbo. I took the gauges off my old truck after 100K and put them on my 04. The tip of the pyro looked like the day I installed it. I am sure someone will ask about the tip breaking myth.

I'm very happy with towing with the 6.0. Was concerned when traded the 7.3 but no worries. Can you say anything more about the military gps application? sounds intersting.

They rented a Ford powerstroke crewcab dually to haul it to montana with. So im still gona get to drive a ford diesle away from home.
