Where exactly is the cooler on the 7.3? Also, what is the size diff? If they are steel lines they must thread onto the cooler, in which case i can use some pipe fitting to up the size right. Or, do the lines switch from steel to hose?

If I remember correctly, its right in front of the radiator. The line is 1/2" for the 7.3 to 5/8" for the 6.0. It is steel/alum lines. Take the line on the drivers side and cut, to make larger, then attach to new cooler. The other line needs to be cut and attached to the new cooler as well.

I checked the auto wreckers and Ford for a 6.0L trans cooler, but ford wants $600( plus i refuse to deal with then unless i HAVE to) and the wreckers dont have one, so i guess im gonna have to Ebay it.

Kris, where exactly do you mount that secondary cooler? Thanks!

I got mine from D I E S E L S I T E . C O M last October. Bolted right in to the stock location.

I got to lookin, and i think that it has the v-10 cooler. There is some sorta cooler in between the rad and the front one thats direct behind the plastic grill. I think that middle one is for the tranny, it is steel lines, and it is pretty big. Must be close to 2 feet and 14 or 16 inches. Gonna have to look closer and trace some lines.

Check out Diesel Site
They have the Tru-cool and v10 cooler.

Here is a pick of my secondary cooler, I forgot to take a pick with the grill off.

I think that is the tru-cool, does it lock like this.

The V10 mounts where you stock cooler is, behind the bumper, where there less air flow and it's tiny I don't get it.
