Ok, I like the sound of this combo...but is the WW supposed to sound like a continuous policemans whistle(it dont sound like a constant smooth whistle).I dont know if I described that right but maybe someone will know what Im talking about...lol
I said in an earlier post that a older ford possibly had the ww-ats combo, man that thing whistled loud. I don,t know if me or the family could hold up with that combo, but to each its own.
Well, more so when ive got it hammered. It sounds like a continuous policemans whistle, Iwas wondering if thats the sound everyone hears or if mine went wrong...lol
Everyone says they'res is loud, but does everyones sound kinda like a contiuous policemans whistle ( im sorry for sounding like an idiot but thats the only way I know to describe it).
Is the "continuous poliemans whistle sound" normal for the WW?ATS combo? Sorry guys, not trying to drag this on but im trying to se if this sound is ok.
Thx alot Schlepprock
I got just the ww, and when you mash on it mine sounds like a constant whistle, i would say mine sounds like that but yours probably sounds better with the ats on there. Others will chime in on the combo. Good luck.

Yes, The ATS and WW combo sounds like a dentists drill to me. Brandon (bdrummonds) went back to the stock compressor wheel because of it. Bring plenty of Excedrine for those long trips! Of coarse, it might not be as loud on later model trucks with extra firewall dampening.
I run the WW ATS combo and love it. Nothing annoying whatsoever about it to me. Sure it screams under a hard accel, but other than that, constant driving noise is fine. Certainly the radio dampens any mild noise on long highway trips. In all honesty, I would put the stock wheel back in for performance gains but enjoy absorbing the sounds of my rig hard at work!
On a side note, the combo may produce a slightly different tone on a van turbo w/ a larger exhaust housing and wheel than a stock turbo.. IDK...
Yeah...I like the sound ,but I am wondering if I would gain a good bit of boost by going back with the stock wheel. Will I still hear some whistle with the stock wheel with the ATS housing? I installed both at the same time so I dont know how the ATS with the stock wheel performs.
