Trouble!!

Hey guys, Im doin my ATS housing/ WW and Bellowed uppipes, Ok the trouble is there is a rod (??) that is going into the base of the pedistal and it has a little plastic sensor.....Ok when I was taking out the turbo it hit the plastic sensor and broke it. Now....what is this called and will the dealer have one ( I say dealer because I know napa will not have it ).
Thx in advance...Schlepprock

Sounds like the Exhaust warm up butterfly control, thats what operates that rod you were asking about. That sensor you broke should be on the pedestal right under compressor.

I agree, it sounds like the EBPV solinoid.
You'll do just fine without it unless you want it to remain for use as an exhaust brake or something like that.

Ron great pics, it will help him out, if he is using the stock butterfly i would fix it, if not i would do the pedestal change and butterfly delete. Since he has it off, and check for play in the shaft, bearing that is.

Thx for the pics, and thx to all that replied. Im gonna see if theres one close by to go ahead and replace it if not ill let ya know on the one you have. I wasnt sure what all to do to delete the ebpv. I know I had to order a non-ebpv pedistal but I wasnt sure what else had to be done. Ive read on here that you had to plug this and cut off that and it all seemed kinda confusing. So far the ATS housing/WW uppipe job has not been as bad as I thougt it was gonna be. The hardest thing so far is having to climb my big @$$ on top of the truck and undr it( 6'3 260lbs)
