Digital Video Recorders... Which one?

Since My good fortune with dealing with Best Buy, I need to buy a new Digital Video Recorder..

You can read about it here..
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...are-great.html

I have looked at what they have to offer and it doesn't seem like there is much choice now a days..

They have these 7 to choose from...

DVD Recorders - BestBuy

I am leaning toward this Toshiba model D-R410

Toshiba - Multiformat DVD-R/-R DL/-RW/+R/+R DL/+RW Recorder - D-R410

Which one would you buy?

What are some of the good or bad things you have come across?

Any advice would be appreciated..

What are you going to be using this for? Do you have cable, or satellite service?

I have Cable tv and want to record some of the shows or movies..

Most of the movies I record are old classics not really anything new except maybe a kids movie for mmy grandson..

That is why I wanted to get dedicated a DVD burner..

My computer is not close to the TV and I find you have to jump through to many hoops using a PC for this..

you run into issues with converting to different formats and problems with spyware on the pc may interfere or slow the copying..

I am not interested in store bought quality.. I just want something to record as easy as VCR's are..
