Ashley Minyard said she spotted something hanging from the bottom of her Chevy Tahoe that just didn't look right. She found a three-foot piece of metal rebar pushed through her gas tank, puncturing the bottom

THATS F-UP................but i did roll into a gas station and saw 3.60 and im not surprised in reading that.

national average of 4 bucks should hit us in a couple of weeks. ny's and cali's will be paying 4.50+

at this pace this country will end up cracking like the san andreas fault, and the goverment is just sittin back taking it all in.......i saw there was an emergency meeting this morning regarding the economy.....lets see how they plan on fixin things.

how about this, get rid of state and fed taxes on gas....raise sales tax by 1%

Lucky me, my ranger seems to have a very thick steel plate under the gas tank.

Still, this is pretty screwed up.

I've heard about people drilling holes in tanks, but shoving rebar into one? Messed up.

Oh the beginning of seeing things you never dreamed of is just beginning. Wait awhile if you think things are crazy now.

Someone around hear was cliping fuel lines and jumping the fuel pump wires on cars. Draining the tank with its own pump.

Not saying the guy was right or anything, but that's pretty darn smart.

Gas thievery was up during the 70s Oil Embargo. Considering inflation, gas prices were pretty high and you were reading/hear quite a few news reports about this.

A guy around here that was caught about a month ago stealing gas from cars/trucks...

The guy had a hose in is truck that he tossed out his window and put into cars gas tanks that he had pulled along side of, flipped the switch on his dash that turned on a pump under his truck, and filled his tank up. The end of the hose went right into his gas tank!! He did not even have to get out of his truck!

here's the link for it
wcco.com - Man Arrested For Siphoning Gas From Other Cars

Just like herman391 said, this guy really had it planed out.

Thats messed up for sure. Sometimes I can kinda see why people would want to do this kinda stuff though.

They should do a little research, and at least go rip off some big head honcho oil company's fuel tank, instead of the average joe that has to pay it!

I just thought of a great idea. It involves a low rider van with the floor cut out, two 55gal drums, a pump, and some hose.
