I posted a pic in my gallery, it's the only oneWhat I need is, what I'm assuming is a plastic sleeve or insulator that prevents the horn from continually honking.
When I put the spring brush assembly in the shaft it will honk the horn whenever I turn the wheel.
I live in the DFW metro area...I NEED a horn!
If your horn is honking continuously, you probably need the rubber "spring" or insulator that is underneath the plastic horn ring retainer on the horn ring. Remove the 3 screws that hold the retainer to the horn ring and you will see what i am talking about.
Hi fitch. I am cornfused? I have a plastic retainer that is screwed on the horn ring but I do not see anything that would insulate the button from hitting the side of the steering wheel to keep it from making contact, and sounding the horn. But I am not very experienced with this type of horn set up.
Any pics or other info to help?
Thanks
Gene

The insulator is a plastic sleeve. It fits into the hole in the wheel, the brush fits inside it.

Take that plastic retainer and metal plate off, underneath it is a cushion (pad).
Over time it collapses. You may need this cushion along with the brush and insulator I listed in my last post.
