Automatic locking doors
So I guess when I hit a certain speed the doors automatically lock....all 4. When I put it back in park only the front 2 unlock. Is there a way to have all 4 unlock again? I keep getting out and try to open the rear door and its locked!!!

Well, on my truck with the auto lock feature, it locks the door when you get up to about 5MPH and then when you stop and put it in park, it doesn't unlock any doors. The front doors unlock when you pull the handle. The back doors do not unlock when you pull the handle, you need to pull up the button. I just got used to unlocking the doors with the door switch everytime I stop. I would disable the auto lock feature, but my wife likes it.
By the way, it helps if you post your year and model as these features were changed continuously over time.

So you're saying that when you put it in park, the front doors automatically unlock? Mine do not do that but it would be good if they did. It would be better if all four did.

This a child safety feature. it can be anoying if you have your tools in the back seat. All Ford truck doors will unlock and open from the inside normally. I have just gotten in the habit of pushing the button on the way out.

Disable the feature. It serves no purpose other than prematurely wearing out the power door lock actuators. The instructions are in the owner's manual.

My '02 SD CREW locks automatically at 5 MPH. When I put it in park after stopping, nothing unlocks. I would like the front two unlocking feature. Can I do that myself? I can't find anything in the OM except how to disable it all together.
