Probably the Salmon River. It flows through Pulaski,N.Y.Everyone goes there for salmon trips.I have,It was alot of fun.
Yeah, I was stationed at fort drum in water town for 4 years. It was not the Salmon River unless it flows west over to the southern tip of Ontario. THere was something significant about the area we were fishing being the most southern point on Ontario. Other than that I would have to call the guy that scheduled and took me on the trip. On another note, the brownie and salmon fishing was unbelievable.
As to filling up the 7.3, I don't see how you cannot afford to fill it up. I fill up my Ex and it is 46 gals. Think about this. Fuel, like anything else doesn't go down in price. Either way, you are filling it up. You can fill up 10 gals at a time but you still are filling up the same amount. Best buy it today while it is cheaper than tomorrow when it is more expensive.
In this case, why do you not have a aux tank, hell why do you not have a tanker parked in your driveway, even better, you should have tank buried in your yard. Then you would not feel the rise in diesel prices. It is all relevant my friend.
edit: too much information and I am leading the post even farther of course.
Well normally if I assume that if someone states that they cannot top off at the fuel pump, I assume it is strictly becuase they cannot afford too. And I would leave it at that. Now, since being injured in Iraq, and getting a chance offered to me from the VA to go to college full time, I cannot work. I do work part time at the Burger King down the road doing clean up late at night (ashamed to say) but it is no where equivalant to the salary I was making begore serving overseas. I refuse to put fuel on a credit card to pay off later. So I pay as I go. Simple as that. 50 dollars every fill up lasts us bout 13 days. If you were to ask why I do not sell the truck, my answer is that I bought the truck long before I deployed and now have only a year and a half left in school, and a year and a half left on truck payments. It is not worth selling it at this point. The old saying you have to have money to save money is very true, and I try to every time I get. In this case it is hard. Soon it will be worth it. And by that I mean keeping the truck.
Reason I asked is my mom had a nasty habit of dumping $5 of gas every couple days. I never understood why. Another reason is that I was trying to see if we could save you a few bucks. I don't care if you work at Burger King (I like McDs food better) or whether you make $1000 an hour. Money is still money.
When I go to work, I observe the fuel stations. When I need fuel, I go for the cheapest. If I can't make it there, I buy 2 gals to make it home and then fuel up there the next day. Yes, I save $0.03 per gal and with 40 gals, it is $1.20. Still it is money. It is money I can spend elsewhere. Every dollar I save is a dollar I can spend on something I enjoy.
I don't think there is anything bad about working at Burger King. If I had a daughter, I'd rather she work as a hooker than taking welfare when she can work. Again, if she cannot work, that is a different story.
If keeping the truck makes financial sense, why not?
I don't know about your area but around here, diesel fuel prices can be very fluid. I got fuel near my house for $4.09. Yet 4 miles down the road, it is $4.29.
I ask what you mean by you cannot afford to fill up because you might have a different strategy. Now, if so, perhaps I could learn something from your reasoning. I may be smart. I may even be smarter than many. Somehow, I don't think I am so smart that I cannot learn a new trick if it were out there, hence the questions.
Finally, sorry about your injuries and hope they are not permanent. Thank you for your service. If you need any medical advice, please feel free to PM me and I will pass it on to the wife. We have a soft spot for injured service people.
hell why do you not have a tanker parked in your driveway, even better, you should have tank buried in your yard.
Believe you me. I have thought about it. Know anyone who makes a decent aux tank for the Excursion?
Again, I have thought about that but I suspect the HOA will only approve it over their dead bodies. 2 days ago, I just got hollered at by some jackass because my diesel was so smoky and they might get sick. Well Jackass, thanx for your suggestions but that cigarette hanging off your lips will probably kill you faster than my diesel exhaust.
