all I know is my '79 sounds the best of all. 3spd manual w/ 300 and a flowmaster w/ no cats. when I sometimes shift to 3rd gear at about 30 mph it sounds like a cummins in an F100. I get chills up and down my spine!!!!
i need help can i just take a pipe and run it through my converters and if i did dual it since it already has split manifolds would i lose to much back pressure please help i appreciate everything
do not run pipe through your cats, that would be rediculous. Anything bigger than 2.25" after your manifolds is a waste. Your not going to hurt anything in your motor by running duals unless your an idiot and do something like put pipe on the inside of your cats.
Not much, anyway. Releasing a little backpreasure does increase HP though. I'd like to know hard numbers on that. For instance; how much HP would true dual give and how much HP would a simple catback system give???
