How many miles are on the engine?
Do a compression check (can get a compression tester for like $20), clean your air filter or replace it, check to see if you have a plugged cat (most exhaust places will check it for free), run some sea foam through your engine, new plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor, tires inflated correctly, new fuel filter, etc....
It's amazing what just a freshening up of parts can do for you. Anything that restricts the engine's potential should be replaced, especially if you're getting a drop of 3 - 4 mpg. If those easy things don't do it, then it's time to check to make sure your engine isn't just wearing out.
