Mallory Distributor Install

I'm installing a Mallory Unilite Electronic Ignition with Vac/advance into a 460 that I rebuilt over the winter. I've got the engine at TDC and go to install the distributor when it dawns on me that I don't know where the plug wires go on the distributor. This motor didn't have a distributor on it as reference and my rebuild manual isn't much help either. Is there an easy way or reference I can use to tell me which plug wire goes where on this distributor?

Doesn't matter as long as you start with the post the rotor is pointing at once you have the dist installed. Then just follow the firing order for the rest.

Thanks! That should make this much easier. Just to be clear though. The post the rotor is pointing at will be #1 and from there I go around clockwise in firing order of #1, #5, #4,#2,#6,#3,#7,#8. Is that correct? I know this is simple but this is the first time I've done a ground up build like this.
