I would just do the 6637 mod alot cheaper and flows more! I didnt even check other filter everyone recommended me to do that and i love it! Thanks to everyone again! and im sure others will tell you to do the same
I had the AIS with fender sleeve on for 2 years, now I have the 6637 (with Pete's filter sleeve of course). Both yield the same results on a used oil analysis (silicon under 10), like kwik said, I could also pull the AIS filterminder down slightly - both are good filtration systems as well as the AFE, but none can touch the price of the 6637.
In this thread LINK Post #14, the AIS is rated at 775 CFM.
Something ain't right -- the 6637 is supposedly rated at only 425 according to FleetFilter.com. I suspect there is a discrepancy between how the two were measured. The overwhelming empirical data is that the 6637 flows more, so there must be a reason why the two numbers are so drastically different.

I have chased that question extensively and have found the reported CFM is the flow rate they were tested at for filtering efficiency.
We are still offering a discount for FTE members on AIS and all other parts. The discount code is FTE10. I will make sure it is still an active code. For those who don't want to go out and purchase a hole saw for the fender sleeve mod, I am offering that option now.

That's a cool option for you to include, great idea.....
Your replys have been very informative. I have already read those threads, other threads, and searched and contacted other non-scientific sources.
Then I reckon, according to heresay, it is about 775CFM.
Anyone beg to differ on this #?
