Hey all, now i am not looking to get good mileage. But, i am not looking to lose it all either.
I have an 08 diesel with 37's and i am starting the lemon law buyback on. I am debating replacing it with the v10, because regular is .70 per gallon cheaper here.
i know the v10s are good for about 10-11 in town and 14 on the highway, which is what i see with the diesel. if i can get 8-10 intown and 12 highway lifted, i will be happy. is it possible/probable?
Im not lifted high like you guys are, but i have 4 inch lift with 33's and i am managing 10.5 to 11 city and 15 highway (at 65 mph). Thats with a slightly heavy foot. So your 8.5 to 10 is easly accomplished.

Same here and I have 4:30's. Speed seems to be the killer. Best i ever got with the 2001 with 33's was 16.2MPG and that was no AC, 60MPH, empty and no wind.
I always see guys posting these mileages but I have never gotten over 12 mpg on the highway in my 06. Now, lifted with 37" and 4.10 gears I get about 8.5-9 in town and prob 10 on the road. Just dont be too unrealistic with your hopes.
I get between 10 and 11mpg mixed highway and city with my '99 V-10 w/ 3.73, 4" lift and 35" tires. I calculate it every time I fill up. The actual MPG may be slightly higher since the bigger tires make my odometer reading a bit low.
I have a 4" lift with 35's. I get about 10-11 hwy and 9-10 in town. Towed my 23 foot travel trailer on a pretty long trip up here in B.C.(mountains etc...) and I got 9. Stock gears etc...
your odometer is thrown off with big tires are you guys considering that when you are calculating your fuel milage. my brother has an 07 v10 cc,lb 8in lift and 37in tires and he thought he was getting 8mpg until he multiplied the odometer to get the actaul number and he was getting more like 10-12mpg. he's taking it to get 5:13's put in it this weekend
I'm going to Indianapolis on sunday. Its a 1250 mile drive from here in Wyoming. Within the past month I've had 4.56s, 35s and a SCT Xcalibrator 2 installed on my truck so Im really curious to see what kind of mileage I get. I'll let you guys know when I get back.
