Hey all, I am new to the site. I am retired from Navy submarines and am now disabled living with my son, who is army, near fort bliss. 3 days ago I purchased my new ride, I upgraded from an expedition to what I have been wanting forever but being disabled on a fixed income, its been tough to find one I can afford. But I met a guy, did a little work on his car for him and he sold me his 2000 excursion Limited 4x4 with 190K for 3000. I did a ton of research and found these things are good for 300k and saw some at even higher miles still running strong. It has the V10 motor, and runs and purrs like a kitten. While it was filthy and has a couple of little needs like new vents for rear AC and front leather repairs, the only thing that has surprised me is the gas mileage. I have heard and was prepared for horrible mileage, I don't drive but 5-6 hundred miles a month so Its no biggie, but I was told to expect 6-7 in town and 9-10 hiway, but after putting 300 miles on it the last 3 days, I am averaging like 10.2, getting 8=10 in town and 11- 13 highway.
Anyway, I am looking for some help, I was looking to see if anyone has a web site for me to input my VIN and get the feature/option list that the truck came with, also, I am looking for how to get the oasis report so I can get the TSB list and recall info, as well all the rest of the info on it. Any directions to these sites would be appreciated. If any Ford techs with oasis access and willing to help an old fart, the vin is 1FMNU43S3YEB16592. Thanks in advance for any help and I guess next is get pics up and start the new mods list, But I do know I love this truck more than the 02 super duty 7.3 I had with the 6 inch lift, and a whole lot more than the expedition.
