Here are some links for Equipment, Mounts, Ant, radios etc...
Search Google for additional ideas.

The shorter the whip the less efficency you will have. in addition short antenna's are base or center loaded.

Radioshack (although not your highest quality but they do carry some branded items) has some short antenna's you can view for reference (as well as radios) etc..

I have a cobra 29 that is peaked and tweaked and the stainless steel mount that goes under the hood like the pic above. I couldnt find a good place to mount my radio in my pick-up so I ordered one of those "Shelf-its" from Cabelas and mounted my radio to the bottom of it. It is in plain sight and nothing crowding my feet or blocking anything useable. I have a 99 PSD crew cab dually. The shelf it matches the interior color as well. It also has room up above to run your linear if you so choose and really put out the power.

I use a tripple mounted mag base and It holds great.

This is how i mounted my CB

I took two L brackets and cut one down to make it fit but it looks good.

The Antenna is a Little Will and works great I just need to center it on the roof. I am just alittle off.
