56 Chassis matching

56 Chassis matching
I, ve been looking for a 56 chassis. There is a 56 listed on ebay in Jackson,Ms but there a question about this chassis whether are not is it a 56. My question is if this is a 50 thru 55 chassis will it match up with a 56 cab.

If you are referring to the "56" frame in Hammond LA, that is not a "56" frame. Where are located, as far as I know the 53-56 are interhangeable however, the rear springs on the 1953-54 were 48” eye to eye and 1955-56 are 52. both rear springs are 2” wide

I changed my frame a little over a month ago I have a "55" the frame I used was a "53 or 54" because they have the hole in the rear for the bumper I went to the local salvage yard and picked one and the guys there stripped it down to nothing I wire brushed it and put POR-15 on it I have the TCI rear spring kit and the drop front axle I haven't driven it yet I still a few more wires to and the bumper to install then get a front end alignment and it should be good then, I'll post some pic of thr before & after when I'm completed

I do believe the frames from 53-56 are interchangable. I guy here in Aussie was selling a 56 body on a 53 frame. The reason why I said that because the vin number quoted was F103L10447.
