I'm thinking it's your voltage regulator. Do your headlights get brighter when you give it some gas?

What ever electrical problem you have the first thing to check is ground. A bad ground tends to do weird things that don't make sense.

low voltage

12 VDC???/ Gen or Alt. To much of a load to run lights and turn signal relay. Check Idle RPM, Gen/Alt output, Battery leads, battery condition. Grounds especially to the turn signal relay/relay/fuse panel to body to frame to engine to battery. Have a great day, chuck

agree, it sounds like your voltage is low - guessing have to jump start it periodically? 59 should be generator /12 volt system. Start by checking your battery voltage before and after running. Should be approx.12 volts not running and 12.5 -13.5 running with some throttle. Let us know what readings you get. After that clean battery posts, remove ground from chasis and scrap for good contact and refasten, test battery. Recheck with voltmeter - after that your down to the regulator and generator.

If it was mine I'd check grounds and volts. The battery volts should be 12.6 volts on battery (2.1v per cell) and 13.5 to 14.5 with engine running. On My 54 I ran a internal reg alt. from brand "Ch$%y". It was avalible and easy to wire. Let us know what you find out. Kurt G. Y-blocks rule.

Turn signal/park lights

Hi all after checking stuff out looks like it could be voltage regulator and or bad sockets in the turn signals...Thanx for helping to figure it out...

I think you want the guy to scrape, not scrap, we don't want any parts to get tossed out.
