Ok, let's start with this one. I know I have a D44 with closed knuckles and drums on the front right now. Sitting outside for sometime is a D60 with discs- not sure if it's hp or not. Is this a swap that is worth considering? The D60 will have to be completely disassembled and serviced- right now it's not looking too healthy.

If if is a HP, 78-79 vintage (spring pad width) it would be a great bolt in upgrade over your 44.
Well, this site is offering up loads of new info for me- it's great!
Looks like it is a factory color- "Wind Blue". I used to hate it when I was a little kid- I always wanted Dad to change the color to something darker, more "manly". Now I love it. It's a little different and somewhat classic looking. Simple.
Are you sure its a D60??? The D44HD have open knuckle discs and the larger hubs. I'm not doubting you, just curious because if it is a D60 than definately upgrade to that. You will have to change the front driveshaft also if upgrading to a D60.
