Oh I was thinking it was a whole grille that you purchased and not reuse your stocker. Thats fine though because i have another stock grille for my truck that I can cut up! Glad I saved it now. How did the new billet style grille attach to the factory grille? I didnt want to go with the billet ones that just bolt on over the factory one... didnt like the way the factory emblem was resessed. Anymore info on that would be great! Thanks in advance.
I snap some pics this weekend. Basically you cut out all the charcoal color grille area of your stocker. The billet screws to the header panel of the truck and then the stocker sandwiches it in. It's all a tight fit, but no squeaking noises.
I started off by using a cut off wheel in the cuttting process. It just melted the grille area. My neighbor had a air saw, like a mini recipricating saw (sawzall). That was the cat meow!
Thanks! I look forward to the pics when I get back the following weekend! Packing up and heading out on vacation for a week of fishing and tastey adult beverages! Where your headlights from ebay too?
Lee, when you do update to the 08 Mirrors do like Chris said and keep them, there are several members with the paddle style mirrors that would love to update them. I love the view out of the 08 mirrors so much better then the regular two mirrors.
Matt that is one great looking truck you did a really good job on it.
They are headlights are Harley Editions. I bought mine from DFuser. He was running a special and I couldn't piece it together cheaper than what I bought them for (freight and runs to the parts store). A great improvement in looks and output than the hazed up 99's.
