Lightbulb MPG's Revisited...AGAIN

OK guys

I'm doing some comparisons so I need accurate data from you (NO BS)
this is NOT a competition, so zipp your pants back up... LOL

I want to know ALL of the following:

what mpg's are you getting?
what year truck?
what is your driving style? (granny? average? spirited? WOT?)
what sizes tires are you running? (MT? AT? HWY?)
what is your gear ratio?
what transmission? Auto/manual
what is your current PCM flash code? (sticker on side of your brain box)
or are you running a chip or tune? what setting?

I would like to know what mods you have as well, even if its in your signature.....

if I can get this data, I will put it into a spreadsheet...

I have a several suspicions... one is that some of the older factory tunes are better than current.

I would also like to take the data and give it back in a more comprehensive form, what tune / tire / mod combos seems to work the best consistantly.
what's killing mpg's, what to avoid, etc...

SO HELP ME HELP US ALL!!

**NOTE**
I'm willing to do the work, but please give me all or as much data as you can in one post... I'd rather wait for all the data then get some, part, bits, & pieces scattered all over the place...

THANKS

what mpg's are you getting?
Empty mixed hwy city 60/40 19.7 MPG

what year truck?
2002

what is your driving style? (granny? average? spirited? WOT?)
Grandpa

what sizes tires are you running? (MT? AT? HWY?)

285/75-16 AT

what is your gear ratio?
3.73 LS

what transmission? Auto/manual
Manual

what is your current PCM flash code? (sticker on side of your brain box)
or are you running a chip or tune? what setting?

No tunes. I'll have to try and look for the sticker later

Mods 6637 & CCV. I did the 6637 the same time I switched over to ULSD so any gains were offset by the new fuel. I used to average 19.8 with the stock box & no CCV on LSD if you want to factor that in to your spreadsheet.

Mileage has been pretty consistent since break in.

If the creek don't rise, Friday a week I'm going to do a very interesting experiment. I'm driving down to Jody and Dianes. I will fill up very carefully upon leaving Charlotte and do the same when I reach Hoschton. Then after they do their magic tricks I will fill up very carefully at the same 2 places on my way back. Will post the results.

I don't care how careful you fill up, you will not match the mpg as going there. Going from superchip to DP-TUNER, you will have such a huge grin on your face that will go all the way down to your foot on the go pedal. It took me a couple months to start to get my mpg to start up again.

You always talk about how old you are getting, but I think you will find the TUNER OF YOUTH at Jody's place.

Good luck on the trip and keep us informed. Sorry.

I've already taken that into consideration. Jody is 10 miles off of I-85, I will fill up on the interstate before I get off, and then play with my new toy on my way back to the same truck stop and continue with my conservative driving back to my original fill up point at the Northern end of my little trip.

Yes, for sure. I could have bought a 4 x 4 at the same time and place, but have been through my years of playing with stuff like that and opted for the best truck money could buy at the time and get good mpg at the same time. I apologize to the initiator of this thread for letting it drift so badly. I should have started my own with the topic of my upcoming experiment. Can a mod figure out how to move this section of it?
