My experience with the ATS housing is it is very loud. I loved hearing it. The turbo noise in the cab was insane. Fully boosted it was incredibly loud and high pitch. Very cool stuff.

I noticed the same thing, the whine was a lot higher pitched and noticeably louder than with the stock housing. This is with a stock compressor wheel, I'd imagine it is louder yet with a wicked wheel. I still love the sound almost a year later.
OK, the weekend is over, and I tested my ATS housing. The only real difference is a slightly cooler sound in the turbo. I noticed no noticeable EGT or max boost difference. It might take a split second difference in spool-up, but even then I am not totally sure. My 80 econo tune seems to blow a little more smoke than I remember at WOT, but then again, maybe I am imagining things? The surge in towing my trailer seems to be gone, which was the end result I was aiming for, as well as sound factor awesomeness! My brother's truck with the ATS seems to have a high pitched whistle in the cab at low boost far more noticable than my own, which I can only assume is the combo of the WW. Yes, I see how that would become unbearable! We are going to have to find a stock wheel for him for sure. Hope this info helps.

I believe Justin (jdecker88 has a used stock wheel in very good condition that he may part with for a decent price. I was there this weekend when he pulled it out and it is in very good shape. New they are about $100.
Thanks for the info Jason. I'll discuss it with my bro to see what he wants to do. He doesn't seem to mind it much, but I said you need to pull your travel trailer first to see if you can tolerate it. 140 Smoke, I'll try it on the way home from work for you.
Maybe I'll find a boy-racer ricer that wants to play with the big boys at a stop light.
OK, took some time to find a safe place to hit the 140 tune. Don't want to smoke out anyone who doesn't deserve it you know
Anyways Rick, lots of smoke, same old same old.
Now I am seriously contemplating stacks! I want to be able to roll smoke whenever I want! But the downfall would be that I'd have to get rid of my roll N lock bed cover, and that deserved Richard-Heads couldn't be forced to choke on soot!
