That has happened to me a couple of times and they just replaced the electronic climate controls after the second time. If I remember correctly they said it was a bad batch or something like that, but this was a good bit ago. I'm not an a/c guy so I can't help you out more then that.

This has been a known problem with some of the automatic temp control units. Sometimes shutting the truck off and restarting it, or turning the headlights on and off a couple times will get the unit to start working again. However, once it starts doing this it seems like it will continue to get worse until it stops working altogether. So if your truck is under warranty take it it before it runs out.

this happend to my truck once. i was using my A/C on my way to the dealership, dropped it off, and when i got my truck back and was driving off the lot i went to turn the A/C on and nothing happend, no lights on the unit either. i pulled over and shut off the truck, restarted it and it still didn't work. i did this 3 or 4 times with no luck. i turn around and went back to the dealership to get the service manager who was helping me earlier and he got in my truck started it and bam A/C turned on right away. i don't know why this happend, he thought i was tripping, and luckly it has never happend again.
