Ok, so now that I have the Preturbo pyrometer installed I am wondering if there is any use for the post-turbo one that is already installed on my exhaust piping. I bought the truck with a banks system already on it and I am in the process of taking it off.
What do you guys think is there any reason to know the post turbo temps if I already know the preturbo?
Also I wonder if the post turbo pyrometer will work if I was to buy a ISSOPRO gauge for it? Right now the temps are displayed through the 6 gun tuner.
If you would want to know what the exhaust temp is of the air coming out of your turbo prior to shut down, go ahead and use the post turbo pyro. Since you have the pre turbo, that is about the only use you would have for the post. You will have to do some research to see if the probe will work on the ISSPRO gauge.
If you don't already have a spare gauge lying around... don't waste your money. It's fun for the first 5 minutes to see the huge temp variances, and after that you really won't look at it again.
