Look on Ebay for the Global Automotive COPs. They are less them $100 for 8 (I know not 10 but maybe they have a 10 pack) shipped. I have heard great things about them on other F150 only forums.
I'm going to be changing all my almost 100K orginals with these and see if it cures my TC lockup shudder with the 5.4 and 4R70W in the F150.
I put a set of Accels on my V10 a little while ago. They have less than 1000 miles, but so far so good.
They lasted 1500 miles. Then two failed. Two cylinders were completely dead. The two bad ones were replaced by warranty (I had to install them.) That cured the two dead cylinders, but I still had an intermittent miss, plus one cylinder would shut off at WOT just before the 1-2 shift.
I replaced all 10 Accels with coils from Standard Parts. Now it runs on all 10 all the time.
The two brands have a design difference that I think may explain the problem with the Accels. The spark plug contact is right at the end of the booton the Standard parts. It's about a half inch up in the boot on the Accels. If the contact isn't real good the plug may not get fired.
The Accels are in a box to go back to where I bought them tomorrow. Maybe I can salvage a bit of money from those 10 pieces of junk.
My truck is an over 8500 GVW and those didn't have a very good misfire detection. When the coils first failed it did set a misfire code for cylinders 7 and 8. I moved those coils to 5 and 10, because those are the easiest to change on a van. I drove almost 300 miles trying to get it to set a code again. Never happened. I pulled spark plugs and changed the two with the wet plugs.
I bought the Global Automotive COPs from ebay (all 10) cheaply.. have ran tham approx 2000 miles and one went bad. I replaced with one of the old stock COPs. My SES came on for the first time and actually told me which COP was bad. No problems since...
