Took a nice, quiet stroll through the area junkyards in Phoenix today. Went to a couple of yards that had rows and rows of econoline vans. Here is the question that I have yet to find a definitive answer to...even searching the forums...What year of econoline cluster will interchange with mine? ('77 with gauges) What color of circuit panel should I look for? Part #'s? All of the econoline clusters in my local yards are in great shape. I'd like to snag one for my rig.
Did you go to th junkyards on Broadway? That's where I picked up the whole cluster for my 77!! I pulled it from a decent lookin 76 down at one of those pull your own parts ones
HaHa...yep..."u-pull-it" and "pick a part" on broadway. Rows of vans...found a nice steering wheel laying on the seat, complete with horn pad. Out of both of these yards, I only found 5 or so 73-79 trucks.

Reason: PRINTED CIRCUITS
should have an extra cluster illumination hole under the speedometer shown below (FOR THE EGR MAINTANANCE WARNING LAMP). The PC already has allowed for this extra bulb
Just thought I would let you all know.
Ford engineering ID number: D8TF-10848-BA
Original Ford part number: D8TZ-10848-A .. FoMoCo nomenclature = Mask (cluster back).
NEW Ford part number: E1PZ- 10848-A (Use with or without EGR Maintanance Warning Light ) > >
> >D8TZ-10848-A > > WAS REPLACEDBY> > E1PZ-10848-A in 1981.
FITS: 1975/79 F100/350 & 1978/91 Econoline ~ USE on clusters with Amp & Oil Pressure Gauges.
EDIT: Further digging in the Ford O-S-I (Obsolete-Supercede-Interchange) Parts Catalog turned up the fact that the mask (cluster back) used from 1975 thru 1977 on F100/350's & Econolines (WITH OIL/AMP GAUGES) WAS REPLACED BY D8TZ-10848-A in 1978 > >
AND....D8TZ-10848-A WAS LATER REPLACED BY E1PZ-10848-A IN 1981!
WELCOME TO THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF FORD UPDATED PART NUMBERS!!
Looking for Instrument Printed Circuit for 1979 B600
Hey all (especially NumberDummy)
So, I'm tagging this onto this thread as my question relates to some of the info already here.
I'm in the process of refurbishing the dash and instrument panel in my 1979 B600 schoolbus and am trying to determine whether I want to refurb the instrument cluster or replace with new aftermarket gauges. The gauges on the current panel have been working intermittently, and when I removed the cluster I noted the printed circuits on the back of the cluster were a bit pitted and may be too damaged to reuse.
I've read the other threads warning not to try to wire the instruments in the cluster directly, and as I haven't found a full replacement cluster with gauges on the internet yet I'm hoping to find some pointer as to where I might look for a replacement printer circuit. Also hoping it's just a matter of my not having an updated part number to search for.
So here's what I have
Instrument Cluster back - D8TF-10848-AA
Printed circuit on back - D8TF-10c956
