Hello all,

I am looking for a diagram and/or information about how the instrument cluster in a 03 f250 cluster works. My plan is to build a custom digital cluster. If anyone has information I would greatly appreciate it.

 

I am not sure about an 03 but the newer clusters do more than display
data. They also control things like the delay power relay and even have
a link with the communication buss (DTC if I recall right). The Ford wiring
diagran won't do you much good. It does not give any info about the internals
of the cluster. I think your going to find even on you 03 that there is a lot of
things going on behind the displays.
I think it would be real cool to have an all electronic display cluster that you could
adjust to display other data.

That is interesting. Guess I need to find out some more information about the cluster itself. I did this for my 99 durango and everything was fine. Well I guess i will do some more research.

 

If you happen to find any schematics for an 06 PLEASE let me know.
I have a bad trace on mine somewhere and schematics would be a big help.

depending on the truck year and model you can normally find diagrams here https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenan...ls/default.asp I have for the 09 a few times. might be worth a shot checking out

 

I have all the Ford work books for my year. They do show the basic diagram of the
cluster but not enough info to really dig into one and repair it.
