got my resistors ordered today -i cant wait to get them -any body think theyll give a little bit more black smoke because alol i get is a lil puff right now

If you look on the IDM mod page it says that it is a 75kohm resistor, which (for those of you who dont know metrics) means 75000 ohms.

also, i saw IDM's that have already been changed to 140V...

Something is wrong, every time I click on diesel I get a different site and the same with powerstroke.
I think the site you posted should be powerstroke diesel idm mod

You are are correct. It is a 75K ohm resistor. I've built three 140 IDM's this week...just so you know it's just a typo

Laughing at the mod is a pretty dangerous game...you never know what might get deleted.

Question: When was the las time your "Buttometer" was calibrated?

Yep...the links are jacked up again.

Interestingly, I find that when I'm reading the thread from the "post reply" page, the links are still working. Dunno what's up with that.

I was just teasing you...No big deal. The first one I converted for myself, then I took mine and built it for a friend, then I took his and built it for whichever of my local PSD buddies is next on the list......I'll probably end up doing one for 7 or 8 of the Arkansas chapter members with PSD.
