Ok I am learning alot about these codes. I know from you guys and from reading that 1211 and 0603 are no big deal, thank god. Thanks for the info. I am still lost on the 1119. Chris I looked at that attachment and I still need more work on my jibberish, lol, I am just not getting it. If you say I dont need to worry about it then I wont. Before hubby leaves for work tonight I will clear the codes. Thanks for your help!!
Thanks for getting back to me. So I printed out the PDF that you sent me for the code P119. I think I understand it but let me ask any way.
The MAT sensor senses the air temp from the Intercooler. (I did do the foil delete on the intercooler pipe). Could this be causing the code????
If the foil delete is causing this, should I refoil it? or is it o.k.?
The Mat sensor uses the air temp from the intercooler to measure the air temp and determine injection timing. How severly will this screw up my rig with the injection timing off? Too Rich or Too Lean? I'm not sure if that applies to a diesel or not
from what I get out of this, I should disconnect the Mat Sensor, and use an OHM Tester on Pin 1 & Pin 2 to see if I get not more than 5 ohms?
I do have an OHM tester, but what setting do I use?
if I get 5 or more ohms, it says to go to D12, there wasn't a link or mention of what that is in the PDF. --OR-- if less than 5 ohms repair open in (sig rtn) circuit 359 (GY) between MAT sensor harness and the PCM. the LESS THAN part I understand.
Foil delete doesn't cause any problems. The early 99's didn't have the foil to begin with.
MAT sensor is only one of many that aid in injection timing. When a sensor is shorted, the engine will keep running with default tables. Performance will take a very small hit, but the injection timing will still be ok. Also, diesels normally run both very rich and very lean. They don't have set air/fuel ratios like gassers do.
Cris, i get the PO-603 internal cam error all the time. Just the truck letting me know i have it chipped. I thought i would add this to show i get it too. Good luck with that other code, never had that one.

It gave me
P1119 manifold air temp sensor high
P0603 internal control mod KAM error
P1211 ICP not controlable
I looked up the codes to see what they mean but it is all real jiberish to me. Any help would be appreicated! Thanks guys!
im just checking with you on this..i think a read a thread where you wanted to un hook the EBPV...am i right??? did you unplug the wire just above the blue dot in this pic??? im asking cause i want to make sure you didnt unplug any thing for the map sensor or the air heater.....i to get the 603 and 1211 all the time..no worries there...

I havent unhooked anything on the truck. I have only pulled codes once since I posted this and nothing out of the norm showed up, thank goodness.
I get the 1211 anytime I get on it hard and stay there awhile. From what I've read and heard BIG OIL fixes that one, but I'm too broke right now for any of that. I have never gotten the 0603 before with my programmer.
