I picked up a big box of Purolater filters at a garage sale. Ive always used NAPA filters : Are Purolators any good ? I dont have any experience with them, but I havent heard any bad stories like I have with FRAMS.
I need a Motorcraft FL300 for my 87 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe and all the parts stores have stopped stocking it. They will order it but not stock it. Didnot realize they were that slow a seller.
I bought a Pureolator Pure one at Advanced auto today for it, think it is 14670. Hope it does not let the oil drain back.

You might check out Rockauto's website. They seem to have filters for a lot of odd engines. I buy my Wix filters for my Lincoln LS from these guys. The stores want something like $10-$20 depending on brand if they even have them in stock. Rock Auto has them for something like $5 each and I buy 4 at a pop to save a little on shipping.
You might also check out the advertisers on the truck forum, bet someone there has your filters.
I changed the oil yesterday on the Tbird Turbocoupe. Just as I suspected the Pureoilator filter is not a direct cross to the Motorcraft FL300, as it has a button down in the back of can and is shorter in length than the FL300. I have noticed this in Wix and Fram as well.

Strange, Where I'm at in northwestern NJ the WalMart and Advance Auto near it both carry plenty of Motorcraft FL300's. I need the FL200 but they disappeared from the the shelves. AAP quoted me a higher price for ordering the FL200 than the small Napa store down the street gets for the Napa Gold equivalent they stock. No brainer, I'm using the Napa Gold.
