1989 E350 460 C6 Chip needed

I have a 1989 E350 Motorhome with a 460EFI and C6. I have put 3" exhaust on it, and am in the process of making my own cold air intake. I see that the Hypertech chip for the F-350 with the 460 and C6 will work, but I am unsure of the performance gains with that chip and Hypertech seems to have a bad reputation.

Does anyone have another source for a chip for my application? I have been googling with no luck. I am looking for a moderate power increase and better mileage.

Thanks,

Erik

Save your money, the only thing a chip does on these older motors is advance the timing so much you have to run premium fuel, that's gonna get expen$ive in a land barge like that. You want longtube headers and a timing light to manually advance your timing a little to get the most out of regular octane fuel.

Ok I will give that a try, any suggestions on the headers? What brand? I had the exhaust manifold leaks fixed 2 years ago... not too fun. Do headers leak on the 460?

Thanks.
