Are you saying that because the tach doesnt move?
It doesnt move on my 02 either but it starts?

Some of the superduties tachs don't move until the truck is running. But that doesn't seem to be the case with the OBS trucks. No tach either the CPS is bad or the PCM isn't doing it thing.

Thanks guys guess Ill go try and change the CPS.
I have a spare but have never done it before.
Im sure I can get it out OK but it sounds a little harder to get back in?

I took the bolt out of the CPS and part of the plugin broke off.
The rest of it seems to be stuck solid, can I get rough with it and put visegrips or something(hammer) on it?

yes you can get rough with it but get it to spin before you try to pull.

Im getting sick of working on Ford diesels......I changed the CPs on the 94 then went to move my 02 and it kinda was draggy starting.
Cleaned battery cables as they were dirty.
Tryed to start it and it was worse.
Went and bought a $150.00 battery , didnt help.
Now Im waiting for a new starter its on its way.
Whens it going to quit?
