Where can you find the "hidden menu" on the Sony Navigation?

I assume you have an 09 or 10. It's not a Sony; it's a Clarion nav system.

There is no hidden menu. It will cost you $250 to bypass it and the solution is discussed (ad nauseum) in the 2009-10 forum.

I did this with my truck and took alot of pictures of the install. If you give me a day or two I can post them. I installed a switch right next to my cig lighter. looks pretty good I'd say. But all you need is a switchable ground. To test it you can just strip the wire, and touch it to a ground and see if it works.

The switchable ground method does not work with the 09-10 Clarion factory nav system.

Funny this should get bumped back up to the top. I just had my Alpine INA-W900 head unit (DVD, GPS, IPod, Bluetooth, Sat radio) installed today and the installer used a PAC Audio TR7 module to bypass the Alpine restrictions. Now not only will it play DVD's while in gear, but I'm also able to use my GPS while in motion as well. Neat little gadget. Well worth the $40 I paid for it. Best of all, no ugly toggle switches.

wow, I did the Bypass for free on my JVC. simply connected it to the ground on the cigarette lighter. 100% bypassed all the time.

I am considering going back in there and putting a toggle switch that is hidden under the dash...just in case I get pulled over.

I never have, nor will I ever watch a DVD while driving. I did it so the wife can manipulate the DVD player from passenger seat while I am driving. That way she can control the output for the rear seat monitors.

On my Pioneer it needs to be a switched ground. If you hook it to ground, it will not let you watch until you toggle the ground on and off.

"watch dvd while driving"

I feel just as sorry for them that do that when they wreck as I do the drunk driver or cell phone talking or texting or "engaging in sex" driver wrecks. Rank them all up there together.

Feel sorry for their victims for sure, sometimes their passerngers even.

The one where she (pass) wearing only a tee shirt while she was giving he (driver) a bj when they wrecked, both killed, his member found in her mouth at funeral home ... just thankful they didn't hurt the tree too much. Felt sad for the parents saving $$$, scrimping to send their kids to college ... and then to get that message delivered.

Oh well .... no one here would be doing that .... y'all have a safe one.
