This is a pic of the same panel that i cut what i needed out and used the washing soda with a 2 amp battery charger. I was really impressed with the way it turned out. Only thing i would do different next time is to use distilled water for my well has lots of minerals in it and the water really was nasty. Good luck to who wants to try it for themself.
LoL !!...OOHhhh!! Yeaahh!!Kinda got me twisted around with that double post there.LoL!!
I think we all here recognize that 'fine' example of rust on the right, and thank's for going thru the picture motions! I've really enjoyed watching this thread/project the past week. Thanks! to those who participated..I will be adding this to my bag of tricks!
Pretty amazing. I'm glad you had the forethought of keeping a before sample. I'll have to give a try sometime, there's always rust.
The only problem rust seems to have turned quite valueable lately, at least from the last couple of vehicle I checked out. The were covered in it and the owners were asking a small fortune for them.
That is quite impressive! The before is a LOT more than just light surface rust, looks like it sat outside for some time? Definitely needed more than just a scrub with a nylon pad. I'd wipe it down now with some rust converter to be sure there is nothing left and to keep it clean until you are ready to put some paint on it.
