Could someone please tell me why my coolant reservior on my 6.0 keeps overflowing all over the place. I have tested the system for leaks, filled to the proper level when cool, tested the cap. I do have the edge programmer on the truck, however I keep it on level 2 or 3 and only romp on the throttle once in a while. I feel as if this engine is going to blow a head gasket or something.
Define proper level? If by proper level you mean the max line that is "written" on the bottle itself then that is too much as it doesn't allow for the expansion of the coolant. The new max line is actually the min line on the bottle. If you are already filling it to the min line and it's still overflowing then something has got to be going on and I would re-test everything.
That Edge tuner probably blew your head gaskets. That will cause coolant to blow out of the reservoir.

I'm going to throw in a question if you don't mind.
The degauss bottle should be filled to the min line when cold...right? I have one of the new bottles. Does that mean cold as in the truck sat all night long and it hasn't been started yet or start the engine and let the coolant circulate for a few minutes. I have checked the degauss bottle when the engine is hot and it is almost empty. I have checked it when it has sat for several hours and it is between the min and max line. I have checked it in the mornings before starting an several occasions and sometimes it is right around the min line and sometimes its below the min line. Yesterday I replaced the coolant filter but didn't add anymore coolant and this morning the coolant level (before starting the truck) was almost an inch below the line. I need to add some coolant back but I want to have the right amount in the system. Sorry if this is a basic question but since I have had different coolant levels when cold I need to ask.
There is no waste gate, could be a sticking VGT actuator. Mine feels the same way sometimes but its because I have 35s with 3.73s so my rpms are really low at 60mph and I just about have to kick it down a gear to accelerate. Luckily I have a set of 4.30s in the shop waiting to go it to fix this problem What size tires and what gearing do you have?
I have the same tire/gear set up on my '03. I went back to the stock tires for a week or so just to remind me what the original gearing was like and have decided to go to 4.30's as well. The difference in gearing almost masks the low end response issue, but doesn't make it go away completely. I'm on my 3rd turbo and just replaced the EGR valve chasing this problem around.
